Cabins for Sale - Cheap
Is it still possible to find cheap cabins for sale in nice
locations? After looking into this, I have to conclude that the
answer is a definite yes. Here are some examples I found in a
real estate guide from the summer of 2008, and from many different
states. These are meant solely to show you what is available
out there (most of these will probably have sold by the time
you read this).
Near Clinton, Arkansas - $45,000 for a cabin on 27
acres. Rustic, but with electricity. Mostly wooded land, with
some small bluffs and rock outcroppings. Deer, turkey and bears
frequent the area. $20,000 for a cabin on 20 acres in a big valley
near a stream. This one also has a lot of wildlife in the area.
It does mention that the cabin needs repairs, but it seems that
the value is in the land in any case.
Near Rye, Colorado - $85,000 for a two-bedroom cabin
in the beautiful Wet Mountains. It is near hunting and fishing
and the San Isabel National Forest.
Ironton, Missouri - $49,000 for a hunting cabin near
Crane Lake and National Forest land. Mostly wooded, with a seasonal
creek. The two-bedroom cabin is roughed in and ready to complete.
Near Mountain Grove, Missouri - $45,900 for a two-bedroom,
two-bath stone cottage in the Ozark mountains. Oak floors and
a new roof. Garage.
There certainly could be better examples of inexpensive cabins
for sale out there. I recall regularly seeing them go for less
than $40,000 in Eastern Michigan a few years ago. The listings
above were just some of what caught my eye in a guide published
by UnitedCountry.com in 2008.
